THE ARCHIVES: GUARDIANS OF MEMORIES
All content-rich documents are essential to the Museum’s activities. The Archives and Documentation Department is responsible for preserving and disseminating them. Originating from private archives, these documents, images, videos, and other objects reflect the decisions and achievements that marked the life of Joseph-Armand Bombardier, his companies, and the lives of his descendants.
For example, the Joseph-Armand Bombardier fonds illustrates the private life and professional activities of its creator as a man, an inventor, and an entrepreneur. This fonds contains 3 linear metres of textual documents, approximately 232 iconographic documents, 19 videos, 1 technical drawing, 18 cartographic records, and 2 sketches.
