The 1960 Ski-Doo®2 snowmobile




Manufactured by L'Auto-Neige Bombardier Limitée: Valcourt, Quebec, Canada.

The original industry pioneer, the 1960 Ski-Doo®2 snowmobile was a major innovation in itself. It was the first production model to reach the market.

It was also characterized by a series of unique and innovative elements: an endless all-rubber track patented in Canada and the United States in 1960, a one-piece profiled chassis, and a manual transmission operated by a centrifugal-force, variable pulley.

Other features
Light, four-stroke, air-cooled Kohler motor.
Gas tank located in the tunnel, up front.
Wheels steel with nebber tires suspension on tandems ans springs Pushbutton acceleration, preventing sudden acceleration or deceleration.

Note: This was the first vehicle of its type, intended for recreational rather than practical purposes.
