The 1964 Hus-Ski 400 snowmobile

Manufactured by Hus-Ski Limitée. of Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada.

The 1964 Hus-Ski 400 consisted of two components linked by a steel hook: the drive train and a passenger sled. It was also one of the first to lay its motor a two-stroke JLO horizontally to provide better visibility from the passenger sled, which was slightly lower than the tractor. This engine position lowered the machine's centre of gravity, thereby increasing overall stability.

Other features
Rubber track was made with hardwood braces and metal studs.
The only snowmobile to be equipped with two entirely aluminum sprockets connected to the same axle.
Two large hardwood skis served as glides.

Note: Despite the small size of its motor, the Hus-Ski model accommodated three adults or four children.
